American professional wrestler and musician Jeff Hardy had struggled with being sober for the longest time due to his mental health issues and family problems. Despite his constant efforts, Hardy often relapsed but has managed to pull himself together with rehab and correction programs.
During an interview with Busted Open Radio, Jeff Hardy detailed his healthy and happy lifestyle and thanked his fans for their constant support throughout his difficult corrective journey.
Moreover, Hardy mentioned feeling like a kid in his new self obsessed with Pro Wrestling. The wrestler has been trying the latest methods suggested by doctors to keep his mind from relapsing.
Hardy added that he has been addicted to ice baths instead of unhealthy things. Talking about his routine, the wrestler remarked, “Every morning, I’m in the ice bath, and the biggest difference is just a clean and sober Jeff Hardy. Shooting for the moon, the sky, and the stars are the limits for me.“
Previously, his addiction to substances and alcohol had put his career in danger as it affected his personal life and his performance in the ring. Hardy revealed that he used his addiction to cope with his real-life issues and the bodily harm wrestling brought him.
The wrestler has always had the reputation of being one of the most significant risk-takers and flashiest performers in WWE history. However, his struggles had pushed him further down the ladder as he constantly failed substance tests and refused to enter rehab.
Later, in an episode of the Broken Skull Sessions, Hardy admitted his regret about the decision and about being in denial regarding his problems for a long time, which eventually led to his dismissal from the WWE.

Hardy’s struggles put him at the lowest point in his career as, despite attending rehab, the wrestler was written off from AEW. The show was scheduled to tour Canada, but Hardy couldn’t enter the country due to past events with the law.
The problem with his visa arose when the Highway Patrol arrested Hardy in Florida in June 2022 for reckless driving. After a breathalyzer test, the authorities charged the 45-year-old wrestler for driving under the influence.
Such an incident led to the suspension of his diving license for 10 years and the placement of an interlock device on his vehicle. Hardy had to pay a fine to the highway authorities and was on a probation list for over 2 years.

After the event, Hardy’s brother, Matt, revealed that the wrestler had been regularly visiting a rehab center in an attempt to turn his life around. Hardy did around 170 days of rehab and was doing much better than before, later joining the WWE.
Talking about his difficult journey, Hardy claimed, “Since my early 20s, it’s been a rollercoaster ride. I’ve had sober runs, doing good for a while, but then I’d always go back. Now I hope I’m done with that. As long as I stay straight, the sky is the limit.“
Later, WWE incorporated Hardy’s addiction into his show’s storyline, drawing his fans’ mixed reactions. Despite the criticism, the move came to his favor following a Bar Fight in SmackDown.
Additionally, the wrestler remarked that talking about his sober journey on TV has been empowering.
He hopes to be an example for people in recovery. With his healthy lifestyle, Hardy hopes to regain his position in the wrestling world, and he has a list of upcoming goals.
